HARSH at Jam Club
HARSH at Jam Club

National Music Centre is thrilled to present a special mentorship opportunity for Jam Club participants and Calgary youth.

Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants can sign in at the lobby of Studio Bell's West Block (851 4 St. SE Calgary, entrance between CKUA Radio and the King Eddy).

This program is exclusively available to teens, though parents/guardians are welcome to attend. Space is limited.

About HARSH:

HARSH is Queer, Chaotic, and Powerful. To be at a HARSH show is to be engulfed in positive energy; enveloped by the chaotic good. Armed with witty banter and feminist politics, HARSH manages to be radical yet fun; inclusive yet uncompromising. HARSH is not afraid to challenge their audience, the binary, or the patriarchy, often in the same song. Building on the anarchic spirit of Crass, IDLES, and Kathleen Hanna, HARSH has built themselves a sound that resembles nothing else.

About Jam Club:

CJAY 92’s Jesse & JD present NMC Jam Club has been an integral part of National Music Centre’s programming for over a decade. Born out of the earlier Guitar Club program that was aimed specifically towards “at risk” youth, today Jam Club emphasizes creating space and opportunity for any and all teens in the community. This weekly free after-school drop-in program brings teens and volunteers together in support of music learning and the acquisition of important life skills such as teamwork, collaboration, intuition, and timing.
