NMC and Honens Present: A Night in Paris at the King Eddy

Join Honens and National Music Centre at the legendary King Eddy, transformed into a Parisien salon, hosted by the belle chanteuse Julie Nesrallah.

Take a stroll through the cobbled streets of Paris, where a performance of textural and seductive melodies will transport you to a bygone era. Imagine yourself peering through the window of a dimly lit bistro only to see the most renowned artists from across the globe, hobnobbing over hors d’oeuvres, savouring absinthe, and exuding an air of mystery, rebellion, and creative genius. In the “Roaring 20s,” Paris was the centre of the universe, bubbling over like a cauldron of creativity, capturing the imagination of artists from around the world who all flocked to the “City of Light” to drink, smoke, create, and discuss art.

A Night in Paris will take you on a journey into the heart, mind, and soul of artists like Claude Debussy, George Gershwin, Erik Satie, and Cole Porter. With bronze vocal stylings of mezzo-soprano Julie Nesrallah, the quicksilver touch of jazz piano genius Robi Botos, and the captivating gold of 1992 Honens Laureate Jean-Efflam Bavouzet, this concert experience will draw you in like no other.

In the spirit of collaboration, donations above the price of your ticket will be split to support Honens and the National Music Centre.
