GUITAR ZITHER
This instrument was purchased by my great grandparents, Wilmer Lewellyn and Arvilla Ann Seaman, as a gift for their oldest daughter, Violet, who was born in 1897 in Kalispell, Montana and died in Vulcan in February 1909 at the age of 12.
SNARE DRUM SKIN
This drum skin came from Matt Johnson’s snare drum at the end of a performance in Calgary in 1998 on 54-40’s Since When tour.
MEGATUNES MUSIC CCMA AWARD
Megatunes record store opened the doors of its original location on Calgary’s iconic Uptown 17th Avenue strip in 1988.

'Our Common Currency' is a 5x8 foot portrait of Gord Downie, musician, poet, activist, and most commonly known as the lead singer of The Tragically Hip.
BUCKSHOT'S GUITAR
The Musicwriter is a typewriter that is used to print music. Invented in 1955 by Cecil Effinger, it was designed to be ‘as easy for a musician to use as a standard typewriter is for a novelist.’ It does not require special manuscript papers, as the Musicwriter can produce its own staff lines.

It’s a family affair. I wrote 'One Hundred Years Strong' with my brother Gord and my wife Louise around the kitchen table in 1974.
